Towards a Theory of Domain Descriptions — Bergen 8 May Mini - course Notes —

چکیده
We seek foundations for a possible theory of domain descriptions. Sect. 2 informally outlines what we mean by a domain. Sect. 3 informally outlines the entities whose description form a description of a domain. Sect. 4 then suggests one way of formalising such description parts1. There are other ways of formally describing The exemplified description approach is model-oriented, specifically the RAISE [23] cum RSL [22] approach. متن کاملA mini course on percolation theory
These are lecture notes based on a mini course on percolation which was given at the Jyväskylä summer school in mathematics in Jyväskylä, Finland, August 2009. The point of the course was to try to touch on a number of different topics in percolation in order to give people some feel for the field. These notes follow fairly closely the lectures given in the summer school. However, some topics c...
متن کاملA mini-course on topological strings
These are the lecture notes for a short course in topological string theory that I gave at Uppsala University in the fall of 2004. The notes are aimed at PhD students who have studied quantum field theory and general relativity, and who have some general knowledge of ordinary string theory. The main purpose of the course is to cover the basics: after a review of the necessary mathematical tools...
متن کاملNotes on the model theory of finite and pseudo-finite fields
These notes contain the material covered during a mini-course given at the University of Helsinki, 22 29 April 2009. The reader wishing to see more on pseudo-finite fields can also consult the notes on the course given in Madrid (November 2005), posted on my web page. The main part of this course is based on a paper by James Ax [A], The elementary theory of finite fields. The interested reader ...
متن کاملNotes on Silene chustupica, a new record and occurrence of S. dianthoides in Iran replacing with S. marcowiczii
The genus Silene, with more than 100 species in Iran is an important genus of Iranian flora. According to available data on the northwestern parts of Iran, including three provinces of Ardabil, East and West Azarbaijan are considered as a major diversity center of perennial species of the genus Silene in Iran. In the course of a revision of Silene in this area, some interesting specimens were c...
